I often feel that I fall short on the parenting spectrum, its seems that no matter how many items and activities that I write on my calendar, add to my IPhone with a reminder, or post on my refrigerator, something always goes array. Tonight is a perfect example. My daughter had a birthday party at 4:30 that I was carpooling with a friend ( who I call my other co-parent) and my only job was to pick the girls up at 6:15pm. During my down time, I vacuumed my couch, tore off the slip cover and generally made a mess to try and locate some crazy smell that has yet to be found. I also tried to squeeze in some trashy TV, watching The Soup to get my weekly gossip. Not very relaxing, but at least I wasn’t watching Zack and Cody or any Nick Jr. show. At 6:00pm I jump in my car, wanting to be the first to arrive to get the kids. I walk into the party venue that I thought the party was at, and there was NO PARTY !! WHAT!!! another location possibly, full on panic sets in, sweaty palms and beating heart. Where were they? Did I not read the invitation properly? I call my co-parenting friend, and they were at another location in another town. So like a maniac I try and make the best driving time possible without getting myself killed to get there. I call the place and the party was just finishing up. I apologize for my mistake and feel awful. How can I screw up something so simple? My answer is that either our family is over scheduled, or I am a terrible organizer. Honestly though, I think I have been playing too much Plants v.s Zombies!

AH! I feel the same way I cant remember anything No matter how many times or Different place’s that I write it down
