I can not say enough about the Microplane Footfile. I have used this for a few years and it has taken my feet from a neanderthal to relatively attractive. Feet in general are not that pretty, but the foot file has made a 110% difference in my feet. My pregnancies really did a job on them with the extra weight and these lovely callouses formed on my big toe and my heels cracked also. Lovely.

So I have been on callous control for a long time, with pumices, pedicures, liquid callous removers, but I tell you this little gadget is the best by far. I found it a few years ago in a funky boutique with my girlfriend. The price tag was about $20 but it was hands down worth it. This brand has a stainless steel face and it has NEVER rusted. Ergonomic handle, so its comfortable to hold. There is a lid that can collect the dead skin but I just do it over a waste basket or the toilet. The best thing is that you file your feet dry, yes dry. Not to be gross but it sort of looks like you are shredding cheese.

So part of my bi-weekly routine is that I file my feet. I actually love it, sounds weird but its cathartic for me. After, I just apply some heavy moisturizer and my feet feel awesome and look good too. I just want to tell you, its not like the pedi-egg, much more sturdy and the dry skin just comes right off.
