Why do I love Kohl’s?
The store saved the day Saturday morning at 8 a.m. I was getting myself ready to go to my first ever blogger conference, and I had tried on my whole wardrobe. NOTHING FIT!! What was I going to do?
I am not surprised by this, somehow each time I ate a cookie I figure how much tighter my jeans could get. Obviously not as tight as I imagined, as I tried on SIX pairs of jeans and they were all skin tight. Not snug, or slightly tight, full blown squeezing my inner organs and disgusting muffin top spilling over the sides. There was nothing I could do, I could’t press rewind and regurgitate all the crap I had consumed over the past few months which contributed to this fat mess I was in.
I finally found a safety outfit: Black tunic top and the only pair of jeans that fit me. I looked awful and really didn’t feel I was putting my best foot forward. As I waved good by to my family, I looked at the clock it was 8:00 a.m, I needed to be in Boston by 9:00. Could I squeeze a trip to the store? The only places open at 8 a.m is Target and Kohl’s. I wanted to see what I could find in 5 minutes, as that was all the time I had.
I fly into my local Kohl’s and sprint to the petite section. Vera Wang Jeans! just my size and oooh a Daisy Fuentes top and another one. In my brain I was thinking if these fit I am golden. Quick as a bunny I throw everything on and I look 100% more pulled together. I race to check out, looking at my watch, its only 5 minutes past 8:00 a.m. I have never moved this fast.
I jump in my car, tear off the tags and take off my pants and slip into a new pair, then off with the top. I did a fast look around and took off my shirt, down to the bra and swiftly threw on my new shirt. Ta Da!! a new look in about 8 minutes. I was thrilled, and to top it all off I got another 20% with my card.
Needless to say, I was a very satisfied customer. Had I been shopping for no reason I would find nothing, when short on time I find what I need. All I have to say is Kohl’s saved the day and I felt great. I wasn’t wearing Ann Taylor or Banana Republic but I might as well have been because I felt great and at least I was muffin top free, if only for a day.
